5 Reasons Why Marvel Cinematic Universe Thrives

Last year, we all witnessed a storm in the form of Avengers: Infinity War, it was a hell of an experience for all the complainants of event movies. But it was an extravaganza project among all the so-called event movies. Have you ever heard that a movie is summing up 18 other movies? Yes, that’s the x-factor attached with the third installment of the Avengers franchise and the 19th movie in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’.

From having the legacy of legendary comics to Stan Lee cameos, Indian critics and YouTubers visit and interviews with the star cast to YouTube nerds, rivalry with DC to Fox-Marvel-Disney deals for sharing universe, Netflix shows to phases of the universe, Robert Downy Jr.’s career to the magnificent investment and box-office collections, we have so much to talk about when it comes to Marvel superhero movies. But here I want to focus on some insightful discussion about how Kevin Feige's Marvel Entertainment managed to excel the way it is. Here are some key factors or secrets why all the Marvel movies are beyond success and create the mammoth amount of excitement in the nerdy fans from across the globe every time a movie releases:

1) Vulnerable Superheroes:
Unlike other superheroes, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s characters are more human. Superheroes are superhuman with some exceptional capabilities. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have fundamental human values. What others missed is very cleverly shown in all of these Marvel characters. What makes these characters interesting and relatable is that they are also flawed, emotional and so real like us. They also are scared and cared. The audience connects when Tony Stark (Iron Man) feels frightened from the cosmic threats or losing his friends. The audience finds amidst the world of theirs when they see Steve Rogers (Captain America) standing out of wonder on the streets with the feeling of losing his love interest tragically years after sleeping.

2) The Balance Of Action, Humor, Seriousness In The Screenplay:
All the trilogies and movies incorporated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has the fair share of the unforceful mixture of ingredients like action, humor and seriousness in the screenplay. Besides the uniform nature of the universe, all the directors managed to represent their movies stand alone in its own way of genres.

The miraculous screenplay with the strength of a single line depicting humor and a deep meaning or hint for the whole prep of the decade at the same time is the highlight for the well-appreciating audience.

3) Easter Eggs/Pop Culture References/MCU Hints And References:
The YouTube nerds are making literally five to ten videos out of one minute long teasers of any coming up MCU movie about the references and hints shared. The Marvel movies are filled with pop culture references, easter eggs and MCU hints for past and future movies. As a moviegoer watches a suspense thriller movie with taking notes in mind for the clues, an MCU fan watches it likewise for the references displays or heard from what is showcasing in front of him/her.

4) Justified Character Arcs:
In just ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, there were more than thirty principal characters. But we amazed how beautifully writers attained the arcs all of them serving since the decade now. The New York attack of 2012 is still frightening enough for Tony Stark in 2018. Hulk and Bruce Banner’s complicated relationship because of the coming of age learning of the inner personality (Hulk) Bruce possess. It’s all fantabulous when you know that even the absence of Clint Barton (Hawkeye) is registered and gives you pleasant satisfaction about knowing where his arc is going through this even though you don’t see him.

5) Continuity And Tiny Authentic Details:
From the writers to directors, continuity supervisors to the set designers make sure that even if a thing is not appearing into the focus puller of either camera or your eyes, the detailing must be justifying the world of character present in the frame. Whether it’s set pieces such as the clicked photo of Tony and Pepper’s from ‘Iron Man 2’ to a photo frame in the first Avengers movie, Peter Parker’s constantly breaking cellphone in ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’, Steve’s drawing from his first installment in the trilogy to the third installment. Besides different writers, directors and the movies, the audience would see the absolute continuity throughout. The dialogues callbacks like Thor-Loki ‘adopted brother’, Steve’s ‘I can do this all day’, etc. Also, from Tony’s injured hand registration to the accurate timeline with Howard and his wife’s death date mentioned in separate movies make us believe in the hands and minds behind the cuts and the long credit list comes between Marvel’s benchmark mid and post credit scenes.

With upcoming ‘Avengers: End Game’ buzz we all are convinced that these secrets are going to make them stays there. We hope the eagerness maintained the same way through the coming decades.

The author will return. 😉
